Second hike from Gioberney to view the Glacier de la Condamine underneath the Pic des Aupillous (3505 m.), the head of the the Valgaudemar valley in the Parc National des Écrins. This area is associated with a number of famous climbers: Mallory, Hillary and Norgay, Whymper. They would have been shocked to see just how much these glaciers have receded now. The path continues to the Col de Chardon (3083 m.) and the Refuge du Pigeonnier.
