A very creditable exhibition by members of the renowned Keswick Photographic Society in the Circle Gallery of Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake. The publicity is sporadic which may explain why the gallery was sadly quiet when I visited, this is despite the high quality of the photographs displayed and the fame of the society. There’s highly committed photography on show here with some great shots; the prices are reasonable too. Many contributors, numerous frames spread over two exhibition walls, a wide variety of styles and genres, including portraits. And not limited to the Keswick area. Single pictures (not sets), no commentary label except photographer and a price. What comes through from the exhibition is the joy of making a great image, and the commitment to a high technical standard.
