Creative photography challenge in the lockdown
One walk, one prime lens, one ISO setting, as many genres as I can see. Today’s creative challenge for my one permitted daily walk.

Creative photography challenge in the lockdown

In these times of restrictions on our freedom of movement, it seems an appropriate creative challenge to restrict photography as well.
Here, in chronological order, are photographs I made this afternoon with a standard lens (no zoom) and only cropped the minimum necessary to correct horizontals, ISO 100 and all within walking distance of my home in West London. I tried to cover as many genres as possible in the one permitted daily walk.
The resulting set has, for me, that sense of coherence which you loose with a zoom. And with looking again at my home neighbourhood with fresh eyes, it showcases the amazing visual variety within walking distance here in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

Nikon D500, 35 mm f1.8 prime lens. ISO 100.
