Here's a postcard from my trip yesterday out to the Grand Canyon of the Verdon on a loan bike from the bike shop in Peyrolles, near Aix en Provence.
Nice spring sunshine down in Marseille but a bit fresh first thing in the morning. All those pictures were taken at higher than 800m altitude and there was a bit of snow on the sides of some of the roads. You can just make out some snow on the tops of the canyon cliffs and on the Digne mountains in the distance.
Nice to have the loan bike while mine was having new tyres and a service but I was very glad to get my own bike back and appreciated it even more than usual with new tyres and running smoothly after being serviced.
Down here in Marseille today there's been a heavy feeling in the air but not actually wet. I've been having a relaxed day and checking out the bookshops.
