Riviera ride out - last ride before lockdown

Petanque at Le Lavandou, Var

Artichoke brochette and Salade Italienne

Marseille, Place Notre-Dame du Mont

Plan d'Aups, Ste Baume

Artichoke brochette then a Pama ham salad in an Italian restaurant on the seafront promenade at Sainte Maxime at the Gulf of St. Tropez, with a good friend, he rides a Kawa 750. Then a ride along the coast road west to Le Lavandou, that rare pleasure of fluid riding with a mate with whom you have a great riding rapport. Traffic very light, even for March and despite the weather now being fantastic (at last).
Le Lavandou has kept its palm trees, petanque terrains and beautiful municipal gardens through the storms and botanical diseases.
Good thing we did this today, back in Marseille the bars were full on the last night before the lockdown seeking to control the coronavirus.
Tomorrow the bars and restaurants should be shut, me and many others on the road on two wheels would pass empty bar and restaurant terraces and need to get our picnics in bags from the boulangeries.
