Fine views in the sunshine and clear air with the birds singing but the Thames river level is so high we were pretty much unable to follow the tow-path.
Thames Valley hike: Pangbourne to Goring and Streatley
Hike along the Thames from Pangbourne to Goring and Streatley. The river valley leads through the Chiltern Hills: here the river is the boundary between Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
We were impeded several times on our intended by route by the high level of the river water, which has flooded the tow path. Nonetheless, enjoyable to see clear blue sky and feel sunshine on our faces after so many dark winter days recently. My friend’s app reported 19380 steps, so 11.6km.
