Sun setting and the shadow creeping up the side of the ex London Weekend Television building, Kent House, on the South Bank of the Thames. Now literally eclipsed by taller buildings, I first saw this view when I came seeking a job at the studios as a fresh electronics graduate.
LWT paid my salary for a dozen years and more, funding my Twenties. I worked there regularly again for a couple of years in the Nineties. There was an oil patch stain on the underground parking concrete where I had changed the oil of one of my bikes rather messily...
The “Ultimate Wrap Party” is now but a happy memory. The building has been sold and is scheduled for demolition.
Show over.
