I was out walking in Sussex on Saturday with Terry: we took the trains from Brighton to Berwick (East of Lewes). We walked from there across the fields to Charleston Farmhouse, the delightful Residence-retreat of Duncan Grant, Clive Bell and Vanessa Bell, and others of the Bloomsbury group of artists.
The house (and the delightful ladies showing visitors around) was as delightful as ever and the garden in full bloom around the sculptures.
We walked on to Glynde for a train back to Terry's place in Brighton.
