West Somerset - June 2010

Details
Published: 10 August 2010

Last Saturday was a day trip to Devon and Somerset, where my brother has a small farm and family. We used the big trains to get to Tiverton Parkway

but then enjoyed some quiet time at Fyne Court (not one of the major National Trust attractions) and also the West Somerset railway. Even my nephew's Mum, normally unaffected by railway nostalgia, was heard to sigh "ah we used to use these sort of carriages to go to school"!
