Ride out west from Marseille touring the calanques, elegant villas and coastal villages of the Côte Bleue and the Massif de l’Estaque. No big speed thrills though a bit of practice on multi-apex curves.
This is my first ride this year on my RR so checking out new leathers, getting my eye back in for riding and reemembering that “gym fit” is not the same as “bike fit”. Lunch at a boulangerie in Carry-le-Rouet.
Calm and colourful at dawn earlier, after a full flight from Heathrow. The airport bus into Marseille passed a flaming car and there was a flaming sunset as well.
