Plage de St. Clair, le Lavandou
That was a really pleasant ride. Not too long, balanced between Riviera coast and hills plus the weather was mild and the traffic moderate. Great to see again palm trees and lush semi-tropical flowers and trees. Fantastic light also.
Back home and no need to eat out. I enjoyed a glass of well-chilled rosé Côtes de Provence wine from vineyards near where I’d been riding. Light, dry and with fruity aromas in the glass and a sweet after-taste. This with poached salmon from Scottish lochs but landed in the EU (Ireland). I garnished the salmon with tomatoes done the Provençale way and far too many fine beans for this be authentic French cuisine! Followed by a raspberry and frangipani tartlette from one of the local boulangeries in Marseille.
